Art Museum and Gallery
A section of the Fraser Heritage Society's Liturgical Textiles exhibition travelled to the Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery at the University of Victoria for the "A Woman's Place": Art and the Role of Women in the Cultural Formation of Victoria, BC, 1850s-1920s exhibition, which ran from Sept.1, 2004, to Jan. 11, 2005.

The liturgical textiles project has published Enduring Threads: Ecclesiastical Textiles of St. John the Divine Church, Yale, British Columbia, Canada , edited by Jennifer Iredale, with contributions by Bev Kennedy, Rachel Edwards, Natasha Slik, and Irene Bjerky. Copies of the publication are available from the Yale and District Historical Society or from the Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery. |

The Liturgical Textiles project is seeking information about
the historic
church linens
at St. John the Divine Church in
Yale, BC. We are particularly interested in any information
about who made them. Also any information on former students
of All Hallows School in Yale (1884 - 1920), specifically
photographs or memories about needlework done there. Please
