China and Beyond was an educational exhibit featuring art objects from the Vancouver Museum, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, the Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery and private collections throughout British Columbia. The exhibit demonstrated how many features of Chinese culture familiar today have their origin in earlier periods.

The Far-reaching Legacy of Chinese Culture Symposium

Organized by Dr. Kathlyn Liscomb in conjunction with "China and Beyond: the Legacy of a Culture", an exhibit at the Maltwood Art Museum and Gallery, this symposium focused on the influence of Chinese porcelains and featured the following guest speakers:
