Perched on this hilltop site overlooking Cordova Bay, a Shingle-style essey seems appropriate. The single-storey house is treated almost as a pavilion, or belveredere, open to the views but protected within the traditional cladding, a material long common to the canneries, logging camps and suburban bungalows of the Pacific North West. A freestanding garage has been added.
