University House (1970)

Located at the corner of Haro and Sinclair Roads, this house was constructed as an official residence for Bruce Partridge, second President of the University. Since 1972 it has served as a guest house and then offices. Although decidedly Modern in its formal simplicity the use of traditional Victoria domestic materials, drop siding with board-and-batten, fits the house to its edge location at Mystical Vale where the campus meets the residential neighborhood of Cadboro Bay.
