Shamrock Motel (1961)
675 Superior Street at Douglas
Archt. F.A. Schultze
One of the few
surviving early walk-up motels, the Shamrock is well preserved and well
placed in proximity to Victoria's major tourist attractions: parks,
museums, and Downtown retail. The formula, which saw a balconied front
and business rear, reduced the usable ground floor by providing for
parking, tucked in under the rear elevation.
