As the street names of this area might suggest, the Marigold area was first called 'Garden City'. R.E.Harrison and his father were both contractor/developers in this area. This Moderne style house with its corner wrapp around staircase, corner windows and inset corner entrance porch also features an arched porch and garage openings, a reference perhaps to the Mission style family home nearbye, but dating from some 25 years earlier.
