Kerry Joe Kelly

Kerry Joe Kelly was born in Victoria in 1945. Largely a self-taught artist, Kelly established a reputation for his brilliant work in glass in the early 1970's. He received first prize at Fragil Art 77, an international glass competition. Kelly has traveled and lectured extensively throughout North America and Europe. His patrons have included the Province of British Columbia and Expo 86 as well as private and commercial commissions in Canada, Australia, and Portugal.

His glass murals in sculpture and found objects, such as bullets, are immediately striking to the viewer. Kelly's works are included in public, corporate, and private collections across Canada. He now lives and works in the countryside outside of Lisbon, Portugal.
