Joseph David

Joe David (Nuu-Chah-Nulth) was born in 1946 in Opitsat Village on the West coast of Vancouver Island. He is considered one of the leading Nuu-Chah-Nulth artists and is renowned for his carving, graphic art and teaching. Joe is a gifted singer and dancer who has performed and lectured internationally. His masks, totem poles, drums and silkscreen prints are found in important collections around the world.
