Campus Services Building
(1965, 1986, 1996)

Architects: Wagg & Hambleton
Addition Architects: Jensen Group

A two-storey reinforced concrete building with masonry infill walls, Campus Services was built was financed by prepaid rentals from the Bank of Montreal, principal tenant of the building until 1982. Although a fairly formal essay in Modern Rationalist design, the final effect is dominated by a floating roof form of massive prestressed concrete T beams. Various alterations over the years, including a south facing addition in 1986, respected the original scheme. A further extension (1996) to the north with a dramatic entrance canopy feature, distinguished stylistically from the original is the work of the Jensen Group.
