Inspired by the Shingle-style Edwardian hotels that F.M.Rattenbury built for the Western Division of the C.P.R., this three storey wood-frame building rises from a rubble stone base and features a dominant shingled and gabled roof. The ground floor Quebec Street entrance is marked by Classical columned porte couchere, opening into a lobby finished in wood panelling and reproduction turn-of -century furnishings.
