Employment opportunities are available to Engineering, Computer Science, Math and Physics graduates in the following areas:

Software Engineering

New graduate positions are available on the Canadian Automated Air Traffic Systems (CAATS) Program. These involve the design and development and integration of real-time Air Traffic Control (ATC) system software using Ada programming and object oriented design. Experience in C++, Ada, OOD, Rational APEX, UNIX, or Air Traffic Control is preferred. REFERENCE CODE: NG-SW-SFU

Systems Engineering

New graduate positions are available on the Canadian Automated Air Traffic Systems (CAATS) Program. These involve system integration activities, requirement analysis, developing integration procedures, and analyzing data for large-scale ATM systems. Experience in HPUX, Rational APEX, RAMP, NFDPS, OIDS, and UNAS experience is preferred. REFERENCE CODE: NG-SY-SFU

Test Engineering

Your education has given you knowledge in system test and integration methodologies which includes developing test plans and writing test procedures for system acceptance tests at the factory and site level. You are a team oriented individual and will be working as a member of a team performing system acceptance testing and development of acceptance procedures for customer acceptance. You will be conducting ‘dry runs’ and formal test procedures, and interfacing with customers. Support and maintenance of requirements traceability databases is also required. Exposure to Unix, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and Excel, OpenView or Optivity will enhance your application. REFERENCE CODE: NG-TE-SFU

PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE:

Software Engineers (Intermediate & Senior)

Positions are available on the Canadian Automated Air Traffic System (CAATS). These involve the design, development and integration of real-time Air Traffic Control (ATC) system software in Ada using object oriented design. You have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another hard science discipline and three plus years of experience in Ada (preferred) or C++, as well as Unix and OOD. Real-time systems, Rational APEX or ATC experience is preferred. REFERENCE CODE: SW-SFU

Test Engineers (Junior, Intermediate & Senior)

Your experience in system test and integration methodologies includes developing plans and writing procedures for system integration/acceptance tests at the factory and site level. Exposure to HP-UX, OpenView or Optivity will enhance your application.

System Performance Engineers (Junior, Intermediate & Senior)

Be part of a team faced with the exciting challenge of assessing and optimizing the performance of large scale Air Traffic Control (ATC) / Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems. Work includes test design, implementation, and data analysis to measure performance and improve optimization, and requirements analysis, procedure development and execution of formal tests to demonstrate compliance. You have a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another hard science discipline, with experience in real-time systems, Unix . Ideally, you have ADA/OOD skills, ATC experience, and strong written/oral communication skills. REFERENCE CODE: SY-SFU

System Integration Engineers (Intermediate & Senior)

Our new systems environment combines unique customer ATM (Air Traffic Management) needs with open architecture using the latest commercial off-the-shelf products. You will be active in system integration-requirment analysis, developing integration procedures, and analyzing data for large-scale ATM systems. You ideally have five to fifteen years of experience in the development of large-scale real-time airspace management systems combined with radar, air traffic management, communications or missions application software development expertise. HPUX, Rational APEC, RAMP, NFDPS, OIDS and UNAs experiences is strongly desired. REFERENCE CODE: SY-SFU
