MIDDEN ARTICLES FEATURE WHITE ROCK BASKETRY COLLECTION

ImageThe Winter 2003 edition (Vol. 34, No. 4) of the Midden, a publication of the Archeological Society of BC, includes two research papers on the First Nations basketry collection at the White Rock Museum written by Karen Petkau and Faith Whiting, CURA project student researchers from UVic. This event allowed participants to discover the beauty of First Nations basketry from around British Columbia, to explore the relationship between basketry and the natural environment. Participants learned about the art of coiled baskets, through hands-on weaving stations...and much more!
