This exhibition produced by the Fernie and District Historical Society detailed Joseph Spalding's story from his arrival in Canada through to his death in Vancouver in 1958. The photographic record left by J.F. Spalding is the most complete in existence for the early years of Fernie. His work contributes significantly to our understanding of Fernie's history including such calamitous events as the fire of 1908.
