Don Yeomans, born in Prince Rupert, B.C. in 1953, is a Haida artist highly respected for his carving and graphic art. His early training included an apprenticeship with his aunt, Freda Diesing, an accomplished and versatile Haida artist, carver and teacher. Don Yeomans also apprentcied with the dynamic Haida artist, Robert Davidson before launching his own successful career. Don has worked on numerous projects and commissions with such leading Northwest Coast artists as Robert Davidson, Reg Davidson, John Livingston and Susan Point. In addition to wood carving Don Yeomans' designs have been created in a variety of media including bronze casting, gold, silver, silkscreen prints and textiles.
