Jesse Fisher has enjoyed fine woodworking for 12 years for both pleasure and profit. He completed the apprenticeship program in joinery at BCIT, attended the Centre for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine, and participated in a Sam Maloof workshop.

Jesse has been influenced by many great designers including Rene Macintosh, Frank Lloyd Wright, Hans Wergner and Sam Maloof. He is also inspired by Danish and Asian furniture. His aesthetic interests range from urban architecture to the natural growth of trees. The distinguishing characteristics of his work include exposed joinery, simple design, and hand-rubbed oil finishes.
